First edition

It is a story for all the children of the Mother Earth, whether they are eight or eighty. It’s about the Lord of Stones and the mountain spirits who keep the secrets of crystals and minerals. These secrets help to open up other mysteries, so far not known to man, about himself, the worlds and the universe.

Anyone who wishes to enter this world must open up like the children of this story, dare to enter the mysteries and learn to listen… to themselves, to others and to the nature. Beginning is the hardest, when you must dare and… believe in what the naked eye cannot see, what the ordinary senses cannot feel, what the rational mind can no longer explain.

Foreword to the second edition

The second edition of the book “Stories of the Lord of the Stones” by crystal therapist, philosopher and spiritual astrologer Audronė Ilgevičienė is now available.

Its publication was prompted not only by the fact that it has been long since the first edition of 2002 disappeared from bookshops’ shelves and the book has become a bibliographic rarity, but what is more important is that a new generation of children has been introduced to the world – children who are notoriously lacking this kind of literature. Recently, many parents noticed a strong interest among their children in the mysteries of the Earth and the processes of the Universe. Children ask questions about how stars are formed, and want to know more about supernovae, the origin of the Moon, the existence of other galaxies… These kinds of questions prompt to look for the answers, however they are not easyl to find. “Stories of the Lord of Stones” is a book that tells in a simple and child-friendly language about the most popular crystals, their formation, places of origin, appearance and effects, the complex structure of worlds, spiritual values, and the ethics of human relationships.

It is like a Gateway to a wise and harmonious world, home to the kingdoms of stars, minerals, plants and animals. It is fascinating to see how the main threads of the ideas in “Stories of the Lord of Stones” are developed in the author’s later books and woven into the fine motifs of her monumental work “Anthropotheosophy”. This edition is illustrated by the painter Albertas Satkus, the man who dared to cross the Gateway many years ago. It is supplemented with new, unpublished photographs of various minerals. We are delighted that this is the first book to be published by the public body “Idealistų Būstinė”. It is our sincere hope that the “Stories of the Lord of Stones”, written with so much love, will find a resonance in the hearts of the new generation of readers who will gradually open up to hear and understand the enigmatic message.
